The Network of Young Bangladeshi American Professionals (NYBAP) is proud to bring you another event in the NYBAP Leadership Series.

On April 25th, we'd like you to join us for dinner with Runa Alam, CEO and Managing Partner of Kingdom Zephyr Africa Management Company, a global private equity and marketable securities firm.  Hear about Ms. Alam's international experience, which has taken her from Bangladesh to Africa, and get an opportunity to ask her questions about growing up Bangladeshi-American and her diverse experiences and career path.

About Runa Alam

Ms. Runa Alam, based in London, joined Zephyr in 2000 to head the Africa private equity group at Zephyr. She is currently the Managing Partner of parallel Pan-African private equity funds managed by Kingdom Zephyr Africa Management Company, a joint venture management company between Kingdom Holding and Zephyr Management, L.P.  Ms. Alam has more than 20 years of investment banking, emerging market management, and private equity experience, including nine years of African private equity experience.  She was formerly a Director of the AIG African Infrastructure Fund, managed by Emerging Market Partnership in Washington.  Ms. Alam has experience in "on-the-ground" management in emerging markets having founded and managed both Peregrine Bangladesh and Union Capital Bangladesh in the 1990's.  Ms. Alam received an AB in International and Development Economics from Princeton University in 1981 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1985.

The Network of Young Bangladeshi American Professionals (NYBAP) is a national organization targeted at young professionals in the beginning and middle stages of their careers. NYBAP's founders saw the need for a network uniting young professionals from all walks of life to exchange professional experience and foster career development. Currently, NYBAP members represent a wide variety of industries including Finance, Law, Marketing, Consulting and Medicine.
